Here is a brief summery of our mission

 Curry Community Cares, Inc

Our Step-Up Program

Curry Community Cares, Inc. seeks to sponsor projects to enhance the lives of individuals and families whose homes are unsafe and/or in disrepair. With “Our Step-Up Program” we primarily focus on seniors, veterans, disabled individuals and families. We will also help others, if they can prove that they cannot afford the needed repair. Some repairs we consider are: Install shower bars, build ramps, replace broken windows, repair or replace broken toilets, fix broken steps, fix soft spots in the floor, and repair leaky roofs.

According to “Oregon by the Numbers, 2018,” approximately half of Curry County’s population is between the ages of 55-85+. 40% of the population have a housing cost burden. Many who are living in their homes cannot afford a needed home repair. They may face sickness, hospitalization or homelessness if these repairs are not done.

The Curry Community Cares, Inc. Resale Store at 616 Memory Lane is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The store accepts donations of new and used building materials, tools, equipment, home furnishing, vehicles, and misc. items. Our prices are low and are negotiable. All proceeds stay in Curry County.

Curry Community Cares, Inc. helps community members stay in their homes with “Our Step-Up Program.” Our goal is to keep them safely in their homes by hiring licensed contractors to perform these repairs at no cost to the applicant. For more information call (541)813-2780.nt Here
